Hardwell and many others confirmed for Ruisrock

In addition to the Dutch producer/DJ Hardwell, new Finnish names such as Viivi and Etta have been added to the Ruisrock lineup.

A household name in electronic music, twice voted as the world’s best DJ, Hardwell will be bringing his incredible stage show to Ruissalo for the very first time. The artist’s long career includes hundreds of millions of streams on different streaming platforms, hugely popular singles and an impressive career marked by international tours that tell their own story about this star DJ.

Finnish lineup continues to grow

The roster of Finnish acts at Ruisrock continues to expand, especially with more recent names in Finnish music. The first festival day on Friday will feature Etta, a trailblazer in the Finnish rap scene who breaks genre boundaries with her charmingly versatile music. Exploring the darker sides of life with candid frankness is indie Finnish rapper Jami Faltin and, as if to balance this, catchy and playful melodies will be served up by intriguing rap duo Jore & Zpoppa, also known from the Yle series Lähiöiden finest. The Sateenkaari stage, with its all-new visual look, will be opened by DJ pioneers Zeze & Gantze, and the program on Friday will also feature the lovely Viivi whose grandiose choruses are sure to have everyone in Ruissalo singing along.

Saturday at the festival will present Goldielocks, a fast-rising artist whose indie pop has charmed both Finnish and international audiences. Confidence and empowerment will be served up by rap artist Senya who has not only performed her own music recently, but has also been featured on the tracks of some of Finland’s top artists. The program on Saturday will also feature Ruispop, which is precisely what its name implies: a dose of new pop music to look out for in the form of two live acts and two DJs. Taking the stage are EBBE, performing live for the first time at Ruisrock, and Nelli Orell, who debuted as an artist in January. Keeping the good vibes flowing are DJ Sapphire from Helsinki and DJ Fiyah from the club scene in Turku.

New names have also been added to the stacked Sunday lineup: Charming pop duo Ida Paul & Kalle Lindroth will be performing one last time in Ruissalo before their break. Soulful rhythms will be delivered by Grande Mahogany, whose music is a unique fusion of funk, rock and RnB. Appearing on the YleX Breakthrough list for 2024 and streaming gold last year with two singles, Tupe will be performing at Ruisrock together with promising indie pop artist Vepu. The artists’ collab single Elli went viral on TikTok and was one of the most listened to songs in Finland on and off in March.

Ruisrock will be held 5–7 July 2024 in Ruissalo, Turku. More artist announcements are coming soon, before summer. Ruisrock’s daily schedule is out and all ticket types are sold by Tiketti. Some of the ticket types are sold out or fully booked.
