Plus and VIP

The Plus ticket (over 18 only) includes the full music and art program of the festival, all the festival services and access to the two VIP areas. The areas also have exclusive restaurant services, licensed venues and flush toilets for VIP and Plus guests, and the package also includes free bicycle parking.

Buyers of Plus tickets also get a personal festival pass and wristband that allow them to leave and return to the festival site throughout the day. The Plus ticket does not include water bus transportation, food or beverages.

The Ruisrock VIP ticket (over 18 only) includes the full music and art program of the festival, all the festival services and access to the two VIP areas. The buyer of a VIP ticket also gets a personal festival pass and wristband that allow them to leave and return to the festival site throughout the day. The package also includes water bus transportation from the center of Turku (Varvintori) to Ruissalo and back, exclusive restaurant and beverage services, lounging areas and flush toilets for VIP guests. Food and beverages are not included in the VIP tickets.

Plus and VIP guests have access to two VIP areas at Ruisrock: one located next to the Niitty Stage and the other on the festival’s iconic beach.

Niitty VIP area offers a prime spot right beside the festival’s largest stage, allowing guests to enjoy performances up close while enjoying food and drinks if they wish.The Ranta VIP area offers a stunning seaside setting where you can relax, enjoy the festival atmosphere, and raise a glass by the sea.

The drink voucher is worth €11 and can be used to purchase any alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage in the bar and VIP areas. The VIP meal voucher is worth €20 and can be used at food vendors in the VIP areas. Please note that using a VIP meal voucher requires a VIP or Plus ticket, as the voucher is valid only in VIP areas.

All vouchers can be used to pay for a product in full or as partial payment towards a more expensive item. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, and no change will be given.

Meal and drink vouchers are sold by Helsingin Rock and Roll Oy.

Digital pre-vouchers purchased via Tiketti must be exchanged for physical drink and meal vouchers at the Ruisrock accreditation point before entering the festival area. Digital pre-vouchers cannot be used as payment within the festival area. Please read the full voucher terms and conditions here before making your purchase.

Tickets must be exchanged for wristbands before entering the festival area. Each festival guest must personally collect their wristband, which will be placed on their wrist at the wristband exchange point located at Varvintori, Turku. It is not possible to collect a wristband on behalf of someone else.

To collect your wristband, you will need to show a valid ID.

Plus Customers

You can arrive at the festival in whichever way suits you best. The Ruisrock festival area is easily accessible from central Turku, for example by festival shuttle bus or bicycle.

The festival shuttle buses will take you to the vicinity of the Ruissalo Bridge, from where there is a clearly signposted walk of approximately 2 kilometres to the festival area.

VIP Guests

The water bus included with VIP tickets operates continuously between Varvintori and the Ruisrock festival area. The water bus departure point is located near the festival accreditation point along the Aura River at Varvintori.

Access to the water bus requires both a festival wristband and a VIP pass. These can be collected at the accreditation point upon presentation of your ticket. The Ruisrock accreditation point is located at Linnankatu 56, 20100 Turku, in the Köysiteatteri premises. The entrance is at the corner of Varvintori and Linnankatu.

The first water bus departs from Varvintori approximately 30 minutes before the festival area opens, and the last water bus departs from the festival area at closing time. The journey takes just under 30 minutes.

The busiest times for the water buses are usually 1–2 hours after the festival gates open and approximately one hour before they close.

Before boarding, all passengers must undergo a security check and present their festival wristband and VIP pass. Bringing alcohol or other prohibited items onto the water buses or into the festival area is strictly prohibited.

Accessibility Information

Unfortunately, the water bus is not fully accessible. Neither the water bus nor the city-side water bus dock is wheelchair accessible.

We recommend that guests with reduced mobility use the accessible entrance to the festival area instead. More information about accessibility can be found here.

The age limit of VIP and Plus tickets is 18 years. Read more about the age limits of other ticket types here.

VIP services are not completely accessible. The water bus and the water bus pier towards the center are not wheelchair accessible. We therefore recommend people with reduced mobility to use the accessible entrance to arrive.

Ruisrock has two VIP areas. Niitty-VIP is located next to Niittylava and the gigs are loud in the area, while the quieter Ranta-VIP is located in Niemennokka, which has a slightly more distant line of sight to Rantalava.

A sandy road leads to the Ranta-VIP area of ​​the beach and around the area. In other parts, the area is a sloping lawn area in some places. The area of ​​Niitty-VIP and the road leading to the area is a chopped meadow field and difficult to navigate in places.

Accessible water toilets can be found in the VIP areas.
