Lil Yachty, The 1975, and many others confirmed for Ruisrock

Ruisrock is also announcing new additions to its Finnish line-up: the up-and-coming Arppa, promising rap artist Yrjänä, and rock names such as Kissa and Stoned Statues.

American rapper Lil Yachty will take the Ruisrock stage on Saturday. Lil Yachty is known as a genre-blending artist whose work can be described as outrageously experimental, packed with cartoon antics. Having first gained recognition with his hit song Minnesota, Lil Yachty’s distinct flow and campy melodies add an elegantly humorous undertone to his music, something that has rarely been seen before in the trap scene.

The rock line-up of the festival is looking even more exciting with the addition of The 1975 from England. The talented pop rock band is returning to Ruisrock with their music, incorporating elements from electro-funk, punk and country, to name a few genres. Delivering sharp lyrics and an unwavering attitude, the band has been making music for the past 20 years. They make their own rules and their music captures the zeitgeist of our time – always with style and a sense of humour, totally unapologetically.

Additions to the Finnish line-up

Ruisrock is also adding new up-and-coming names to its Finnish line-up. The festival Friday will feature one of the top names in the Finnish indie scene, the explosively popular Arppa, known for his varied music and live shows that rely on improvisation. The rap program of the festival is also growing with rap duo SOFA and promising producer-slash-rapper Yrjänä. The stage will also welcome Elsi Sloan who borrows elements from rap, spoken word and art pop.

Ruisrock is also announcing two new Finnish additions to its rock line-up. The alternative metal band Stoned Statues will be bringing heavier rock to the festival, and the audience can bask in the glitter of glam rock with Kissa, who will take the stage on Saturday.

In addition to the artist announcements, the festival is also announcing a small change to its program: Erika Vikman, originally confirmed for Friday, will be moved to Sunday.

Ruisrock will be held 7–9 July 2023 in Ruissalo, Turku. More artist announcements will be made this spring. The daily schedule of Ruisrock is out and all ticket types are available in Tiketti. Some of the ticket types are sold out or fully booked.
