Ruusut is a trailblazer in Finnish pop music, known for their bold aesthetic and ability to push the boundaries of the genre. Their debut album “Ruusut,” released in the autumn of 2018, combined electronic experimentation with pop’s catchiness, becoming a phenomenon of its time.
The album “Mä valvon ja sä valvot mun kaa,” set for release in spring 2026, is a collaboration between Ruusut and Aku Raski (e.g. Huoratron). The new music is more personal and concrete than before – telling stories of Helsinki at night, moments between early morning and dawn, the liminal space between experiences. The album portrays life as it is: not a victory cry, but survival, and fleeting moments of euphoria you try to hold onto.
