Eppu Normaali is one of the most significant and longest-running bands in Finnish rock history. Hailing from Ylöjärvi, the band was formed in 1976 and quickly became a pioneer of the new wave and Finnish rock. This means the band will also be celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer.

Eppu Normaali is known for its intelligent, humorous and insightful lyrics, as well as its melodic, guitar-driven music. The band’s best-known songs include “Vuonna ‘85”, “Murheellisten laulujen maa” and “Kitara, taivas ja tähdet”.

Over the decades, Eppu Normaali has sold over a million albums and won numerous recognitions, but above all, it has remained a part of Finnish cultural heritage. The band’s music unites generations, and its concerts continue to be filled with rock energy and storytelling.

Eppu Normaali is deservedly one of the cornerstones of Finnish rock. The band’s farewell tour in the summer of 2026 will also include Ruisrock.
