In terms of food vendors, Ruisrock is introducing a commission-based vendor space rent. The rental rate of the vendor space will be based on actual sales. The rental rate consists of an advance deposit and a sales commission invoiced after the event, if the commission is higher than the deposit. The sales commission depends on the menu: vegan vendors pay a smaller percentage than vendors serving a mixed or vegetarian menu.
What is included in the vendor space
The price of food vendor spaces includes a pitched tent (5x5m), 32A electricity, a rubber mat, a shared cold storage, services in the maintenance area (water supply and waste management), and the pre-determined number of staff passes. Food truck spaces include the same services, excluding the 5x5m tent and the rubber mat.
Treat, product, and experience vendors are assigned their own tent sections or fixed vendor spaces. The sizes of the tent sections are 3x4m, 6x4m, and 9x4m. In addition to the tent section, the spaces include 16A electricity, a rubber mat, the services of the maintenance area (water supply and waste management), and the pre-determined number of staff passes. The tent sections of treat and area vendors have fixed prices. Vendors are not allowed to bring their own tents for safety reasons.
The vendor spaces in the festival market include a c. 2x3m space in a shared container or a whole 2x6m container, use of the maintenance area, and the pre-determined number of staff passes. There will be festival markets in the festival area, the VIP area, and in camping. The spaces will be priced on a case-by-case basis, depending on the number of staff and the number of service points that the vendor has.
Additional services can be ordered for an extra fee, such as your own water supply, an auxiliary tent, additional electricity, additional cold storage, fixtures, or working lighting.
The only payment option in the Ruisrock festival area this summer will be card payment, meaning that cash will not be accepted as payment in the area. Every vendor selected to participate will agree to rent a payment system from Ruisrock’s designated partner.
The festival has the right to keep track of sales to verify the sales commission. The price information and other details of the payment system will be discussed with the selected vendors. A lease agreement for payment terminals will be signed directly with the payment terminal provider. The vendor must have merchant ID for the agreement.

Applications and payment
Applications for vendor spaces must be submitted by 14 April. We will be choosing the most suitable vendors for Ruisrock as soon as possible, and the selected vendors will be notified of the decision in person. Applying for a space does not bind the vendor to anything.
The due date of the deposit for the vendor space is 17 June 2022. If the invoice is not paid by the due date, the vendor will be denied access to the event and the vendor space will be given to the next vendor in line. The possible sales commission will be charged after the event based on the actual sales.
Cancelling a vendor space
We will charge the full deposit for cancellations received after 31 May 2022. Vendor spaces cannot be transferred or sold to a third party without the event organizer’s consent.
