Ruisrock’s lineup is complete

In addition to the Ukrainian rapper Alyona Alyona, new names to Ruisrock’s lineup include genre-bending artists such as Samuli Putro and Melo, and several special live lineups. The final music program features more than 120 artists.

Ruisrock has added the finishing touches to its international program with Ukrainian rap artist Alyona Alyona. Advocating especially for the liberation of her home country, the artist speaks out boldly and says that each of her songs comes directly from the heart and contains either a social or a political message. Rapping in Ukrainian, Alyona Alyona creates music that borrows elements especially from American and British hip hop, creating a unique blend with a powerful message, a fresh approach to music and fantastic feminist energy.

Interesting Finnish acts

Other additions to the festival lineup include pioneer of the Finnish music scene Samuli Putro, while the rap program has also grown with the enormously popular new wave artists Melo and Nebi. More pop sounds will be brought to the festival by Teini-Pää and Lyyti, and the stages will also feature Turku Rock Academy’s very own Toivo-OlaviCCB and Harmi

Festival folk in Ruissalo can enjoy an exceptional array of fascinating collaborations this July. Completing the hip hop lineup is a joint act with ShrtyBlacflaco and Madboiali, in addition to the feminist collective BÄMÄ and a joint show with Rosa CosteSenya and Sonia. On top of all this, the audience can enjoy the live show of the vitunleija brand, Vitun Leija Live, featuring artists such as KorelonDavi, the previously announced Etta and the Swedish artists VC BarreAlawee and 1.Cuz. As for FLASHBANG ZONE 23, the act will introduce the Ruisrock audience to up-and-coming names: FettiSerafina and Glögmann. The newly-released big DJ lineup includes a Sunday DJ set by DJ Ilona, aka influencer Ilona Ylikorpi, in addition to which the festival will showcase the legendary clubs Tavastia Saturday Disco and Paha Vaanii.

Massive program full of special appearances

The newly-released lineup for this year’s Ruisrock boasts a record-number of performers, more than 120 in total. The lineup includes several international headliners, such as Lil Nas X and Machine Gun Kelly, in addition to the last live performance of Antti Tuisku’s career and the only live show by ibe this year. Vesala’s appearance at Ruisrock will be one of her two last festival shows before her break, and the enormously popular Käärijä will also take the stage at Ruisrock.

“It feels amazing to bring the magical world of Ruisrock to Ruissalo for what is now the 52nd time in just a few weeks’ time. Our exceptionally vast lineup will spread over six stages and feature music across genres and national boundaries, and because of this, we are inspired to present a Ruisrock that is more amazing than ever,” says Ruisrock’s Promoter Mikko Niemelä.

Ruisrock will be held 7–9 July 2023 in Ruissalo, Turku. Ruisrock’s full program has now been released and tickets are available at Tiketti. Some of the ticket types are sold out or fully booked.
