Samuli Putro is a pioneer in Finnish music and his lyrics are known by heart and sung by audiences generation after generation. In March 2023, the artist released his eighth solo album Ikävä mummoa. The album is a delightful collection of songs from road trips, cruise ships and the labyrinth of relationships and families. The first single off the album, Kakarat, even begins with a sentence that seems to anticipate the Ruisrock weekend: “Automatka Ruotsiin kesti monta päivää, koska jäätiin Turkuun hölmöilemään.” (“The drive to Sweden lasted for days, because we stayed and fooled about in Turku.”) The audience is in for new songs, older highlights from the artist’s solo career and a guaranteed magical atmosphere.
