As far as rock bands go, Apulanta is nothing short of iconic. Throughout its thirty-year career, the band has had a huge influence on the Finnish music scene even beyond its own genre. Formed by Toni Wirtanen, Sipe Santapukki and Ville Mäkinen, the band is known for its uncompromising attitude and experimental style – not to mention its numerous major hits that remain crowd favourites to this day, such as Vasten mun kasvojani, Lokin päällä lokki and Anna mulle piiskaa. These are songs that portray the times we live in, conjure up the wildest foot-stomping parties and unite generations.
